Connecting, Learning, Growing
Advancing social research into our common world concerns
Organisation Summary
Interactions Social Research (ISR) is an Australia-based international research and education institute, and consultancy practice. We partner with arts, cultural and education bodies, social sector groups, communities, government and corporations to develop, evaluate, transform, understand and communicate their activities and programmes towards a socially and environmentally interconnected and inclusive world.
We provide a learning community for people of all ages.
Young People's Participation & Wellbeing
Young people’s knowledge, participation and wellbeing is a key focus of ISR. Our research with young people aims to better understand their perspectives and experiences. We support shifts towards greater inclusion and involvement of children and young people as concerned participants in the communities and institutions of which they are members.
New Book Release
Do social and emotional challenges impact your work with children and young people?
We now know young people’s meaningful participation is a strong foundation for thriving, engaged and inclusive communities — and key to wellbeing and learning. To shift children’s authentic participation from a ‘good idea’ to actual practice, adults first need to know exactly what authentic participation is… and why it’s important.
This book helps participation facilitators learn how to collaborate with young people and recognise why it’s important.
